How often should I clean my pond out?It may depend on the type of pond and whether it is maintained regularly, we suggest a pond clean every 2/3 years

What’s the best way to get rid of blanket weed?We use a range of proven treatments depending on the pond’s size, ecosystem, and severity of growth. Our team selects the most effective product for each case, this could include enzyme-based removers, UV filtration support, or manual removal combined with preventative care.

Do I feed my fish in winter?Fish metabolism slows in cold temperatures, so feeding should be reduced significantly. If they are still active, use a specialist winter feed that’s easy to digest. Stop feeding entirely when water temperatures drop below 8°C.

How often should I feed my fish?Feed your fish once or twice daily, offering only what they can consume within 2–3 minutes. Any uneaten food should be removed to maintain water quality and prevent filter strain.

When you clean a pond, what happens to our fish?We safely transfer your fish to a temporary aerated tank using high-quality nets and koi socks. Wherever possible, we retain clean pond water to minimise stress. All handling is done by experienced engineers trained to prioritise fish welfare throughout the process.

When we call you for a pond cleaning estimate, what do we need to provide?For an approximate quote over the phone, please have the pond’s length, width, and depth ready. If you prefer an on-site assessment, our office team will arrange a visit from one of our operatives to provide a detailed estimate.
